What is the WIPAN Executive Committee?

WIPAN has at its helm the Executive Committee, a nine-strong committee of alumni elected at the AGM of the Network, held each September upon graduation of the latest Class of the Program. (For more on this years Executive Committee, please select the 2005/2006 link to the left).

Three of the Executive Committee positions are for Regional Officers - one for the Republic of Ireland, England and Scotland, and each of these heads up Regional Subcommittees, whose job it is to arrange the alumni events in their region and thus preserve the links between alumni.

The remaining six Officers, including the Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, PRO and Web Develppment Officer head up further action groups, allowing involvement from many more alumni. The purpose of the action groups is generally functional, e.g. to ensure a certain event takes place, or any structural reforms are conducted according to plan.

The Executive Committee is also in charge of ensuring adequate levels of support are given to the Program, through, for example, recruiting alumni to help out during interviews or drives in new colleges for applications.
