Since its inception in 1995, the Washington-Ireland Program for Service and Leadership has had over 300 young people from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland amongst its ranks as well as countless others who have been affected in postive and practical ways by the activities of WIP, WIPAN and alumni led ventures such as the YES, Horizons-Expo and the What Is Ireland event.
Graduates of the Washington-Ireland Program for Service and Leadership are all at various stages of their professional and personal growth. Some are continuing with their university education, others have long since left university and are working as teachers, lawyers, social workers, journalists and politicians in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
